About Alison

I am passionate about working with people and want to support you in your work towards your personal and collective goals.

My focus is on helping couples and families to develop their communication, intimacy, and their emotional connection to each other. I also focus on parenting, supporting parents to manage their children’s behaviors and to provide their children with the skills to be successful in their social, academic, and home environments. I offer pre-marital therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and Equus coaching. My goal is to support you in reaching your personal goals by tailoring each sessions to your needs. Zoom sessions allow us to work together using your computer or smart phone, wherever you may be.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Tulane University and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chaminade University. I also hold certifications as a Relational Life Therapy Practitioner, Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Prepare-Enrich Premarital Counseling Assessment, and Prepare-Enrich Parenting Assessment. Currently, I am working toward the completion of my certification as an AASECT recognized sex therapist.

Since childhood, I have ridden and learned from horses and believe strongly in their ability to teach us how to connect with ourselves and others.

As a competitive equestrian, I understand what it means to feel driven in a sport while caring for another living, breathing animal and this has been critical to my personal and professional life. Horses are known to mirror humans and truly provide a reflection of our behavior and intentions. Due to my passion for horses and understanding of how much they can teach us, I became a Certified Master Facilitator and Equus Coach with the Koelle Institute. Working with other Equus coaches, I am excited to offer individual and corporate Equus coaching at a variety of equestrian facilities around the country.

I live with my family in Northern California and enjoy going to the beach with my dogs and spending time in nature every day.
